Construction is moving ahead on the Surrey–Langley SkyTrain Extension in Surrey. Crews are installing large concrete sections that will form the elevated SkyTrain guideway along Fraser Highway.
Special machines called gantries are being used to lift and place the concrete pieces between support columns. One of these machines, known as the “Fleetwood Flyer,” is currently working along the route as crews build the new track.
Because of this work, drivers and residents may see temporary road changes, lane closures, and short traffic stops. Pedestrians and cyclists may also be detoured while the machines operate above the roadway.
Construction is currently taking place along Fraser Highway and near 152 Street, where a future SkyTrain station is being built. Traffic pattern changes in the area are expected to continue for several weeks.

Surrey is planning to open two new medical clinics to help more residents find a family doctor. The clinics will be located in City Centre and Newton and are expected to open later this year.
The clinics will operate through a partnership with Total Life Care Granville Medical Inc.. City leaders say the goal is to improve access to family doctors in Surrey, where many residents still struggle to find primary care.
Each clinic will have about 10 doctors working part-time and will focus on serving Surrey residents first. Officials say the clinics could help thousands of people get regular medical care.
The project has also sparked debate. Some critics say the city should not be helping one clinic operator, while supporters say the move is needed because Surrey has far fewer family doctors than many other large cities.
🔑 Key Details:
• Two new clinics are planned for City Centre and Newton
• The clinics are part of a partnership with Total Life Care Granville Medical
• Each clinic is expected to have about 10 doctors serving local patients
